Adding a website in the right click menu

(Windows XP not supported - This trick works only with Windows 7 And Vista)
Is there anything that you do very often. Possibly you "refresh" very often. Imagine if there was no drop down menu which appears when you right click on any vacant spot on the screen. Then it would have been very difficult for you to refresh(lets momentarily forget that F5 key also allows you to refresh). You would have went to a deep system directory and then refreshed. Thus, the purpose of that drop down menu is to provide fast and easy access to a few things that are done often. OK, now you open a website, say Facebook, very often. Then why ain't there any option in that drop down menu to open Facebook. Well, off course, here comes my part, we can get Facebook right there on that drop down menu. Here are the steps to do so.

  1. Open regedit using Run.
  2. A program named registry editor will start.
  3. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\background\shell
  4. Right click shell and create a new key. Give it a name. This name will appear in the drop down menu.
  5. Now create a new key in the key you just created. Name it command.
  6. Right click default and click on modify.
Now according to your browser, there may be different values, for
  • Chrome - C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe yoursite
  • Opera - C:\program files\opera\opera.exe yoursite
  • Internet Explorer - iexplorer yousite
  • Mozilla Firefox - firefox yousite
Your Site is the web adress of the site you want to open. For google chrome, instead of (username) write the username. Well, you are done. Comment if you are facing any problem.
