What is a dock?

Now what is a dock. If you've got no idea, I am gonna tell you about it in simple words. So, its a cool alternate to start menu for Windows, if you prefer to look at it that way. Wikipedia prefers to call it an application used to switch between applications and launching them. What I call it is a cool thing to have on your desktop. 



Which dock to use?

Now the second question obviously is, which dock to use. Now that is actually a tough question, keeping in mind the vast varieties of docks available in the market. I'll give a list of completely free docks for you. Just check which one you love the most.
